COMPANY BACKGROUND Farmers Cooperative Company was established in 1912. We have experienced steady growth over the years through merger and acquisition. Farmers Cooperative Company currently employs nearly 50 full-time and 25 part-time highly qualified and dedicated individuals.
Farmers Cooperative Company is proud to provide service and product lines in grain, feed, agronomy and petroleum. We have four offices located in Hinton, Oyens, Akron, and West Le Mars, Iowa.
Grain
Farmers Cooperative Company has modern grain facilities at Hinton, Oyens, and Akron, with a total storage capacity of 8.0 million bushels.
Three major railroad lines service Farmers Cooperative Company at our Hinton location and a recently completed 110-car shuttle load out system allows us to handle large volumes of grain while being price competitive on corn and soybeans. We also pride ourselves on having extended dumping hours during the harvest season for the convenience of our patrons.
Feed
Farmers Cooperative Company has two feed mills, conveniently located in Hinton and Oyens. Top quality feeds are a priority at our mills and as a result we consistently receive the Dedication to Quality award from Land O' Lakes Farmland Feeds. To producers this means fresh, properly mixed and manufactured feeds with every delivery.
Farmers Cooperative Company works with several major feed companies to provide a wide variety of products and services for virtually every type of animal production. Our current staff includes swine and beef livestock production specialists to assist our customers in maximizing profitability for their operations.
Agronomy
Farmers Cooperative Company is a full-service crop supply company. We have been meeting the changing agronomy needs of our local patrons for over 75 years. All of our locations offer the latest technology in application equipment, individualized recommendations by a staff of Certified Crop Advisors, and quality products to meet the needs of today's professional producer.
Farmers Cooperative Company also offers a complete financing package, at below current market rates, to give our producers an edge toward their profit goals.
Petroleum
Farmers Cooperative Company is a provider of propane, refined fuels, and bulk and packaged lubricants. We proudly carry Cenex brand products and our certified staff is ready to provide safe, convenient, and quality sales and service to residential, agricultural, and commercial patrons.
Farmers Cooperative Company also has a Cenex - Ampride convenience store located on Highway 75 in Hinton. A full line of petroleum products, 24-Hour pay at the pump, and in-store food and convenience products await you.
